As a passionate consumer advocate and research assistant at the Global Consumer Center (CONSENT), my journey has been nothing short of trans-formative. Every day, I dive into the dynamic world of consumer rights, where I champion the voices of individuals and communities that often go unheard. Everyday when I step into the field and have these interactions with the day to day consumers of different products and services, I not only get to listen to their complaints and challenges but also create this bond with them and for once they have someone they can open up to and makes them feel safe, and also makes them know that their voices will be heard.
My role isn’t just about research; it’s about igniting change and empowering consumers to take charge of their rights. One of the most exhilarating aspects of my work is leading vibrant campaigns that shine a spotlight on critical consumer issues. From engaging workshops and conferences to interactive community participation in data harvesting, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with diverse groups, sharing vital information about their rights, and equipping them with the tools they need to navigate the marketplace confidently. Witnessing the spark of awareness in participants' eyes is incredibly rewarding—its proof that knowledge truly is power.
Moreover, my research endeavors have allowed me to delve deep into the trends and behaviour shaping consumer experiences country-wide. Analyzing data and uncovering insights not only fuels our advocacy efforts but also helps us craft policies that resonate with the real needs of consumers. Being part of a movement that strives for fairness, transparency, and justice in the marketplace is exhilarating, and I couldn't be prouder to contribute to a mission that champions the rights of consumers everywhere.
